Policies worth checking twice
- Double-blind review: authors must anonymize submissions and avoid identifying themselves or their institution.
- No page limit, but authors are strongly encouraged to keep papers concise, with compelling arguments within the first 12–14 pages.
- Artifact Evaluation is mandatory for Solution and Tools/Benchmark papers and proceeds in parallel with paper review.
- Submissions must be made via OpenReview/eScholarship and are publicly viewable upon submission, so authors requiring secrecy should avoid submission.
- Revisions are a one-shot process: authors must address all reviewer comments in good faith by the next deadline to guarantee acceptance.
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest with reviewers based on specific criteria (e.g., advisor-student, recent co-authorship, same institution within two years).
- ArXiv preprints are allowed but must have a different title and system name than the JSys submission to preserve double-blind review.
- Social media promotion is permitted as long as it does not link to the OpenReview submission or reveal the paper’s identity.
