The 1st Late Interaction Workshop (LIR) @ ECIR 2026 is a forum for researchers and practitioners to explore late interaction retrieval methods, such as ColBERT and multi-vector approaches, their applications, limitations, and efficiency challenges. The workshop aims to foster interaction across the late-interaction research ecosystem through diverse submission formats, keynote talks, poster sessions, and a roundtable discussion.
