Policies worth checking twice

  • Submissions must represent original, previously unpublished work.
  • Papers must not be simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference.
  • All papers must be submitted in PDF format with a maximum of 10 pages (excluding bibliography), using minimum 10pt font and 1-inch margins; violations may lead to rejection without review.
  • An optional appendix may be submitted as supplementary material with no page limit, but reviewers are not required to read it.
  • Source code for new software or analysis methods must be publicly accessible via a repository (e.g., GitHub) with documentation and a minimal test dataset by the submission deadline.
  • Authors of accepted papers must post the final version on bioRxiv by 25 February 2026.
  • Authors may submit to partnering journals (Cell Systems, Genome Research, Journal of Computational Biology) after RECOMB acceptance, with possible additional review.
  • Submissions to other peer-reviewed journals are permitted after a decision is received on the RECOMB submission.
