Fifth Workshop on Fake News Detection in Low-Resource Languages
Regional-FAKE 2026 is a workshop under SPELLL 2026 focused on fake news detection in low-resource languages such as Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, addressing the lack of labeled corpora and NLP tools for these languages. It builds on previous editions and aims to advance computational methods for identifying misinformation in under-resourced linguistic contexts.

Policies worth checking twice
- All submissions must follow a double-blind review process: authors' identities must be anonymized, including third-person references to prior work.
- Papers must use the official Springer CCIS LaTeX or Word template.
- Papers exceeding the page limits (16 for regular, 8 for short) will be desk-rejected.
- Papers not adhering to double-blind guidelines or the Springer template will be desk-rejected immediately.
- Each paper receives at least three reviews.
- At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present the paper.
- Accepted papers must not be published elsewhere; simultaneous submission to other venues is not permitted.
