SoCG 2026, part of CG Week 2026 at Rutgers University, is the 42nd International Symposium on Computational Geometry, bringing together researchers in geometry, topology, algorithms, and their applications. The symposium features two submission tracks—Theory (T) and Practice (P)—to recognize both theoretical advances and practical implementations, and encourages interdisciplinary research connecting computational geometry with other fields.

A strong submission should clearly identify its contribution and evaluate it appropriately.

Mathematical Foundations

A typical paper contains theorems and proofs describing new results in discrete or combinatorial geometry, discrete differential geometry or topology, or in topological combinatorics. Evaluated on connection to computational geometry/topology, importance, technical depth, elegance, and potential impact.

Algorithmic Complexity

A typical paper contains algorithms, data structures, theorems, proofs, or lower bound constructions describing new results on computational geometry or topology problems. Evaluated on relevance, importance, technical depth, elegance, and potential impact of methods.

Implementation & Engineering

A typical paper addresses practical aspects of solving computational geometry and/or topology problems, such as algorithm implementation, robustness, exact/approximate/algebraic computation, or heuristics. Evaluated on relevance, clarity, quality of results, simplicity, and soundness of validation.

Experimentation

A typical paper contains experimental evaluations of data related to computational geometry and/or topology problems, such as algorithm comparisons, benchmark design, or cognitive studies. Evaluated on relevance, clarity of hypotheses, soundness of experiments, and expected impact.

Policies worth checking twice

  • Submissions must be double-blind: authors' names, affiliations, funding, and emails must not appear in the paper; references to own work must be in third person.
  • Authors must declare conflicts of interest with PC members, including past advisors, students, same-affiliation colleagues, and recent/frequent coauthors.
  • Submissions must not exceed 500 lines (excluding title, references, and appendix), with line counting enforced by the provided LaTeX class.
  • All results must be reproducible; supporting material (proofs, code, experimental details) must be provided in an appendix or supplemental data, clearly referenced in the main text.
  • Simultaneous submission to another conference with formal proceedings is prohibited; submissions previously published in proceedings (e.g., CCCG) are not allowed, but submissions to EuroCG (no formal proceedings) are permitted.
  • At least one author of each accepted paper must become a free member of the CG Society to present.
  • Authors may post drafts on arXiv, give talks, or share ideas publicly; double-blind reviewing is lightweight and not meant to prevent author discovery.
  • Submissions may be labeled with multiple paper types (e.g., T(P), PT), and there are no quotas for acceptance by track or paper type.
