EMNLP 2026, organized by ACL’s SIGDAT, is a premier conference on empirical methods in natural language processing, featuring main conference sessions, workshops, tutorials, and industry track presentations. It will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from October 24–29, 2026, with co-located AACL-IJCNLP 2026 in Hengqin, China, and welcomes submissions across all areas of computational linguistics and NLP, including emerging and interdisciplinary topics.

Policies worth checking twice
- Tutorial proposals must use the ACL paper submission format and not exceed 4 pages of content (plus one page for tutor biographies and unlimited references).
- Proposals must be submitted as PDFs via OpenReview.
- Tutorials must cover work by the presenters as well as by other researchers; 'self-invited talks' are not permitted.
- Tutorial materials must be made publicly available in the ACL Anthology; exceptions require explanation.
- An ethics statement discussing ethical considerations related to the tutorial topic is required.
- Diversity and inclusion are evaluation criteria, with encouragement for submissions from underrepresented groups and use of multilingual data.
- Tutorial instructors must provide materials at least one month before the tutorial date.
- Accepted tutorials may be held at either EMNLP 2026 (Budapest) or AACL-IJCNLP 2026 (Hengqin), and proposals must indicate if they are venue-restricted.
