Papers

Original, unpublished research submissions in two formats: standard-length papers (10 pages) and short papers (5 pages). Must be double-column formatted, anonymized, and not under concurrent review elsewhere. Includes accompanying video preview and supplementary materials.

Posters

Submissions presenting research findings in a poster format, with a submission deadline of July 10, 2026.

Demos

Demonstrations of interactive systems, with a submission deadline of July 10, 2026. Accepted papers may be invited to a fast-track demo session.

Doctoral Symposium

A forum for PhD candidates to present and receive feedback on their dissertation research, with a submission deadline of July 10, 2026.

Visions

Short-form submissions presenting bold, forward-looking ideas in HCI, with a submission deadline of July 10, 2026.

Lasting Impact

Policies worth checking twice

Submissions must be original and not published or under concurrent review at another peer-reviewed venue.
Multiple submissions to UIST 2026 Papers must have distinct and self-contained contributions.
AI tools (e.g., LLMs) may be used only for editing and checking the author’s own text; generating content with AI is discouraged.
Papers must be anonymized: authors' names and affiliations must be removed from all submission materials, including videos and supplementary files.
Citations to the authors' own prior work must be in third person and fully referenced.
Supplementary materials (e.g., videos, datasets) must also be anonymized and not reveal author identity.
Submissions exceeding the page limit (10 pages for standard, 5 pages for short) will be desk rejected.
Papers must include sufficient methodological detail and engage with relevant prior literature; insufficient context or novelty may lead to desk rejection.
